Recuperat-ion on the Alpe d’Huez Triathlon!

Marcel
Zamora and Albert Moreno are ready to confront the mythical Triathlon in Alpe d’Huez,
which the 7th edition takes place this week from 22 to 26 July. Two
Recuperat-ion ambassadors tell us more about their aspirations.
1800 Metres above sea level, the village of
Alpe d’Huez, monument of cycling and the Tour de France, was stormed in the past
few days by triathletes. Among them, Marcel Zamora, a regular at the station:
“this is 5 years that I come here. It is really a magical place to train.
I’m in preparation for the Embrunman in 3 weeks, so this race is rather a test.
I am very motivated even if the Olympic distance is not my strenght. As far as nutrition
goes, I will not drink and eat during the race because of the format. However I
insist a lot on hydration before the race. I will probably dilute 2 Recuperat-ion Sport drink sachets in a
500 ml container prior to departure. And on the bike I will be equipped with
another identical sport drink.
“The advantage with Recuperat-ion, is that I know that the next day I will
be already fit to resume training in good shape.”
As for Albert Moreno, the young triathlete
(22 years old) will try his luck on the long Distance format, with the desire
to surpass himself. “I prepared correctly.” I try to assimilate the
training at best. This race is a goal for my season. I think I will be delayed when
cycling, but I hope to compensate with a good race on foot. Let´s see what
happens! “Anyway, it is a privilege to be able to run here,” says
Albert, already immersed in his race.
Like Marcel, he relies on Recuperat-ion Sport
drink face the race, and ensure an optimum hydration: “this evening,
before the race, I will take a Recuperat- ion SRO taste cola, and tomorrow on the bike I will have 2 sports bottles.” The first with
the Recuperat – ion Sport. The
