Rendezvous with the legendary Ironman Nice

This weekend takes place one of the most emblematic triathlons of the European panorama: The Ironman France, commonly called Ironman Nice. Before being part of the famous American franchise, leading figures of triathlon delivered spectacular battle along the Promenade des Anglais. Recuperat ion Hydrasport will be represented by Clemente Alonso whose motivation is at the top, after having some physical problems in winter.
Who will succeed Fréderik Van Lierde, untouchable for 2 years on this great event? All predictions make the Belgium favorite. But in Nice anything can happen, as the bike loop is tough and the marathon’s gruelling, all under a devastating sun. These special conditions have always benefit Marcel Zamora who build up his legend on the French Riviera with five consecutive victories from 2006 to 2010. Since its creation over 30 years ago (1982), the history of the race has been written by some of the best triathletes of all time: Scott Tinley, Mark Allen, Rob Barel, Scott Molina, Dave Scott. The most nostalgic ones… can delight videos available on the net, like the 1985 edition video. Another time!
